Hi guys, got a strange one for you, I'm trying to work out what I need to do with my climate control to work correctly, symptoms; the fan works on manual number one to high and shows in the LCD display, once I select Auto the LCD display empty (blank) nothing to show what speed the fan is blowing, It sounds like it's on number one the low speed and does not go any faster no matter the select temperature from cold to hot.
I see people say the fan speed resistor, but it does works manually, could it be a more serious thing going on like BCM or the climate switch module itself or the speed resister like people say, any help solving this be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

If you can select all speeds manually, I can't see how the fan speed resistor is the problem. Most likely it's the module, used ones are around $90 on eBay. The single zone and dual zone ones are different.

Seems strange, when I first start the car after sitting for a few days and the fan is on below the high setting it won't come on unless I go to high speed first, if say its left on 3 speed nothing will work till high is selected first, today it took 2 goes at going high before I was able to get the lower ones to work, came back after shopping and the 3 speed still working without going high. I can hear a big click noise under the steering wheel in the footwell and that when I was able to use the 1 2 3 4 speeds again. What could it be?

With symptoms that arbitrary, I second @BlackVXGTS - it's the module itself. There's nothing relatable between those symptoms - they're too random and can only sometimes be replicated. Save yourself the headache and buy another module. This one is $80 + free postage. That's the cheapest one I can see on ebay at the moment.

Bit late on the reply, I got it all sorted turned out to be the fan speed resister, strange one as it worked going from high to 1 but not 1 and up, once I removed the glovebox, I wiggled the harness and it sparked up, I then kept an eye on it and funny thing it worked for 4 days fine till one night coming back home after turning the car off the fan kept running, so, had to pull the main harness, went down got a second hand one worked till got hot and stopped, went back got a replacement bingo working like new for $30, fan on climate control working smooth now fan starts up slow and continues to get faster as it should to it decides the temp is right then slows down, so thanks to everyone. just thought letting you guys know.
