Hi everyone, as you probably guessed I have a problem with the VT Blower fan.

I have the same problem in my VT Executive and VT SS Series 2.

Fan speeds 1,2,3 work no problems. However on HI the fan keeps cutting in and out but the a/c button stays lit.

I have cleaned out the fan motor, put in a new resistor and replaced the relays. Still the problem exists.

Could the fault be in the switch?

Has me stumped. If anyone could help would be much appreciated.

Well considering you can get a second hand fan / heater controller for less than 20 bucks on eBay, I'd say give that a go.

I have bought a 2nd hand fan from City Dismantlers and tried that in both cars and still have the same problem.

So there is a possibility it can also be a heater controller?

Are they hard to fit? Looks like a pain to do if it is not the problem but I guess there is not much else it can be.

Yep that relay in the fuse box is brand new. Still the same problem. :-(

Back from the Auto Electrician and the problem with the SS was a faulty fan. Seems I got unlucky and the 2nd hand one that I bought was also faulty with the same issue. New fan was put in and she is good as gold. Hopefully when I put in a new fan into the Exec I get the same result now :)

Thanks everyone for their help. Thought I would post a final result in case anyone has the same issue in the future.
