VT brake upgrade

trying to put VT calipers on the VC
My cousin has an ole VC he decided to upgrade the brakes on. Where the car is we have bugger all tools with out half hour drive as it was meant to be unbolt, bolt on job of changing the disks we decided to do it there . We had a battery grinder with us no battery of course you leave that at home on the charger.
Where should we grind the landing pad on the caliper or the side of the stubb axle? The traps for blokes with bugger all tools

I did this. Don’t recall grinding anything though.

Do wish I used VE callipers.

most of the time the bracket clears the casting I've not needed to grind other times either. Its never going to fit as it is what do you think we should do other than grind?

Find one that does fits & therefore legal?

I'd grind the steel part bracket rather than the cast bracket for the caliper.

Is that a bracket to space the caliper out to 330mm?

Is that some sort of adaptor for the caliper?

A straight forward normal VT caliper bolts straight upto a VC stub axle, without adaptors...

Is this VT caliper on a 298 disc?
