hey guys,

Can anyone tell me if its possible (and worth the time) to install the front brakes from a VT into my VS S3 ute.
If so, how big of a job is it??

All i want to do is put the rotor, caliper and caliper bracket onto the front without any major modifications to the suspension.

Thanks.

The VT brakes are a direct bolt on. You will need the calipers, rotors, brake line (I recommend that you get the braided ones) and the hub ring.
The hub ring centers the rotor as the hub hole on the later models is a little larger.
If you have all the parts, it will take about 45 minutes per side to do and there is no modifications needed.

Some people will tell you that you need to upgrade the master cylinder and or the brake booster. I ran mine for years with the standard VS brake booster and master cylinder and had no issues at all.
Make sure you run a decent brake pad, I highly recommend REMSA from GSL rally sport (site sponsor) they are great all purpose pad.
Will will be amazed at the difference once you do it.

This is the kit I was looking at until I got told I can fit VE brakes instead.

You will need the Shim Adaptors and custom Brake Lines

I'm not sure if their are cheaper options for the brake lines

But check the How to Guide here

Personally I would recommend having an air compressor and small cut off wheel on hand,
Use it to trim you stone guard rather than removing them.
