To the OP..It would be adviseable to get onto your local track and find out what sort of mods you can do with the car and still be able to compete...I believe they are getting stricter with the dos and don'ts with a car entering....

Agreed with this. Insurance changes have required some minimum car specs.

Also helpful to have a chat to current competitors about what mods they have done
