Vt calais air con not blowing through vents

Hi guys i got my aircon regas but its not blowing air though any of the vents or at the feet. Its was blowing air before i got it regas but not any more. Any idea why?

Evaporator freezing up, blocking airflow.

To test, run the system at the start of the day without the aircon on. You should have airflow. Engage the ac and the airflow should slowly reduce until there’s nothing.

Also check the fan is blowing. If it’s not, check the fuses, including the fuse on the fan.

The fans are blowing and theres cold air when i open me glove box. But not at the vents or the floor area.

I’d suggest a frozen up evap core. It gets so cold, it ices up. Then no air can pass through.

It is possible to see in there. Get it to do the problem. Remove the glove box, undo the resistor from the housing. Then use your phone to get a photo in there. You can angle the camera to see the evap core.

It’s the first component in the HVAC air flow. The heater core follows after. So it will still be frozen up even with hot air.

You can also remove the fan. That’s super easy. Three screws and it drops out.

Are you getting air from the windscreen vents?

Yeah its blowing me dash mat up so its getting heaps of air there and behind the glove box.

If there’s a blockage, the air will be blowing out of any available cracks and joins in ducting. Air will be going into the back of the dash like a mofo.
