Hi guys my gf has a VT Calais with the supercharged ecotec in it and we are having a few dramas I was just after a little help if anyone knows what my issue may be.
The list
Car immediately stops when headlights are turned on
Radio comes on if headlights are turned on when car is off
When unlocking headlights flash not indicators and also power ariel motor fires up
Windscreen wipers cut out before doing a full cycle and will not work again until car is restarted

I have tested the battery and alternator both are good my other thought was a bad earth but I am unsure of the earth locations in a VT. If anyone has any ideas please help as I am willing to try anything

Follow the Negative terminal from your battery, that will lead you to earth points.
I'd also check the connection to the BCM. Unplug it and plug it back in again.

That is hilarious!

Sorry, not much help but seriously. It's like one of those movies where someone rewires the bad guys car so it ####s up.

If the headlights flash when unlocking instead of blinkers. Maybe check if the headlights and blinkers are wired correctly.

Either someones playing a joke on you or your BCM is screwed.

Possible a BCM problem. Have you tried disconnecting the battery to maybe reset the BCM. Computers can do strange things.

Reset BCM.
Pull fuse for BCM.
Wait 20 seconds or so and you will hear a short series of beeps.
Replace fuse.

Then get in car and hope it doesn't assimilate you into the Collective.
