isnt that what your supposed to do when its a manual?
cant really remember if there was any noises but after i took off after the attempt to do a burnout, when i was in 1st gear it was jerking. like it was cutting in and out when i had my foot on the accelarator
You only do that if you're not afraid to break something...
With a V8, you don't need to 'drop the clutch' you find the friction point, and gently, but quickly let it out - So it eases the load onto the driveline. Not just dump it - resulting in a major shock load, and snapping things.
Next time you're at the car, start it up, roll back and forth on a driveway (1st - reverse) with some one outside the car to see if the diff's grinding, or if the clutch has let go.
If theres any noises that should point you int he right direction.
If no noises, get under it and take the inspection cover off the bottom of the bell housing, see if theres clutch lining floating about, could have ripped the fibre clutch lining of the clutch it self. Or even snapped some of the fingers of the pressure plate?
Does it do the jerking all the time, or just that one time after you took off?
