Do a search, there are plenty of threads on that topic.

Buy same model donor car then change everything or easiest method buy running registered factory v8.

May be best to post in the VT-specific section?

Starting another thread & asking the same question 2 days in a row isn't going to get you answers any quicker
You just need to be patient because sometimes it can take a couple of days for a thread to get fired up and start getting replies

As for your question, I'll suggest the same as others have:
# Use the search function, there are plenty of threads on this topic
# Find the exact same model as a donor for parts & swap everything over
# Or buy an already registered V8 to avoid having to do the swap & enjoy driving it straight away

Did not realise I’d done that sorry as 8 are expensive over here in New Zealand and I’ve just spent a lot on the body of the vt I thought be good project and experience for myself

I've merged both threads. Cross posting isn't allowed as per the forum rules.

Doing a V6 to LS V8 conversion is a Pita as you need the entire engine wiring loom, PCM etc as it is all totally different to the V6. Ideally you would need a donor car as mentioned above.
