It can also be the oil pump inside gear wearing, once the inside of the rotor lip and housing wears it gives more clearance for the oil to get past and out to the front seal, there is a drain hole between the gear and the front seal which is tiny and can't handle the amount of oil once the pump wears a bit and doesn't take much to gum up the hole either and if your seal isn't great then it'l pass oil out more easily, so if you have the front cover off just drill that drain hole a little bigger to help pass oil that gets past the pump gears back to pan a bit easier.
If you have a good balancer shaft and new seal and drilled drain hole and it's still leaking then the pump is shagged.
