okay, new here and a new commodore owner i got it for free! now the engine east water and steams out the exhuast...now i pulled the inlet off and heads of to fully replace headgaskets and inlet gaskets and all the o-rings that go with. There was a lot of white sludge under the rocker covers so water is getting into the oil aswell...now the inlet manifold gaskets were shot...but when i took the heads off the gaskets seemed fine not any trace of a blowout or leak...but i cleaned them up and replaced them anyway...i used a straight edge to roughly see if the heads were warped which they looked good. So i reinstalled the cleaned up heads with new gaskets...completely cleand all the inlet and installed with new gaskets...not to me it doesnt seem like there is much of a rubber seal on these inlet gaskets so to me it doesnt look like it would seal to well...so i put motor back together started her up with fresh oild fresh everything...and its still steaming out the exhaust and the rocker covers are back to being white sludge magnets! the water in the radiator hasnt been going down much at all i can barely notice coolant missing...i dont a compression test all cylinders were 150psi across the board....then i done a leakdown test on all cylinders @ 80psi and 4 cylinders had a 10psi drop down to 70psi which isnt that flash in my opinion..but the other 2 cylinders had not 1 psi of drop. Is there any way of the water going into the cylinders as well as the oil other than the inlet leaking? its driving me nuts! Oh the car had overheated a fair few times before i received it.

You need to get the cooling system pressure tested to find out where its leaking. If the engine has been overheated too many times, then its probably easier just to replace it, you can find them pretty cheap if you look around.

You really need to haave the head's send off to you're local engine shop for them to test it, It's likley that you won't be able to see the warp, even with a straight edge.

It could even have a hairline crack, They can't be seen just by eye.

By the sound of it, It sound's head related, Being that it overheated there is a good chance the head is buggerd...

See what you come up with when you take the other head off...Probably be warped..

Does the cooling system pressure's get overly high?
Have you done a co2 test?
