Hey all. As the heading states ive done a window conversion on my vt and im having some trouble.... All the windows work except the drivers one.. The problem is it will go up but not down can hear it clicking for up but silent for down.. Ive tried the drivers motor on the passenger side and it was fine, then i tried the passenger wiring on the drivers side and still wont wind down... I replaced the main switch thinking it could be that, but its not... Changed the "drivers window relay" and still nothing.... Im absolutly stumped as to what the problem is... all other windows operate fine but not my window..... Any ideas on whats going on? i dont want to put the wind ups back in... Thanks guys

Sounds like one of the wires going to the drivers side motor is ####ed.

im guessing itll be inside the body wiring somewhere.... but i reversed the polarity and it will go down but not up, then put it back to normal then it will go up, not down.... was thinking of running a toggle switch to constant power and operate the window that way coz ive searched the wiring around the bcm and couldnt find anything.... got me stumped.. ill remove the seats and center consol, see if it can find the broken wire...

I'd be checking where the wiring goes through the door, with all the movement there one wire may have broken.

just for my own amusement i ran wires from the motor itself straight to the main switch and it ran up and down fine... im thinking i might get some decent wire and run it from the motor plug to the switch, wondering if that would be ok?
