[Ecotec] vt engine and box into vs

okay, so ive put a vt engine and box into my vs, starts and runs fine. but it wont go into gear, i added trans fluid and it selected 1st gear but struggled to take off. any ideas whats causing this.?

Its definatly first gear and not second or third? I know the vt's have a limp home mode which only selects certain gears so as to be able to limp home with minimal damage I take it u swapped the ecu along with the engine an box. pcm could be your issue. There's a specific way to add fluid to these boxes also. I'm not too sure just throwing these things out there as you weren't really too descriptive and noone else seems to have replied
