Hey guys, this is my first post and i wanted to get some opinions on my vt, i'm only 17 and i know it isn't anything good but im going at a slow rate and eventually it will look good, just wondering what people think of my VT. Anyone that has any good exterior or interior ideas please post and pics of your vt would be much appreciated.

Exterior mods:
-Purple Pinstripe on body contours, over rear spoiler and on front bonnet.
-Chrome and black bodyside moulds to replace the shitty grey stock ones
-Chrome wheel trims
-Purple rims

Interior Mods:
-Blue neon front and rear
-Chrome mats (reflect neons :D )
-Kicker sounds system ( 6" splits, ZX 4ch amp, 12"sub)
-Blue light mod on air con controls and on transmission lights
-Automatic opening boot ( added two more struts at lower rating ( just enough to open boot )

I have some future interior mods for my vt including, painting all plastics a metallic purple to match pinstripe and rims, and getting black racing seats ( not sure exactly which type yet ) and all door pockets ( if thats the right name? ) will be changed to a purple Suede or something close to this. Also boot will be lines with purple carpet and also painted in some areas. I have put 2 more struts in the boot so when i release the boot lock it opens up automatically with a neon over the sub.

Anyways just wanted some opinions and please don't give too harsh comments i'm only starting, Thankyou :)

Im not a big fan of the purple stockies mate, but its definatey different.. and i think having someting different is much better than following the crowd.

I'd advise againt painting any of the dash or interior plastic a metallic colour. I have seen it done before in blue and it really looked terrible, it never comes out as you want it to.

Otherwise keep everyone updated with any work you do on it. there is heaps of good mods to do to a VT so have a look around the forum

I like your boot pop idea. Got any pics of that.

And also, are the tranny lights just a matter of replacing bulbs with LED's, how does it come apart for bulb change?

well when you pull all the centre console up there are two globes on either side under the tranny. then ( well for my vt ) there is a green piece of transparent plastic card with different shades of green on it, so i took that off and made my own with blue on it. i left the light bulbs the same colour. now it lights up blue, thats all i did anyways and as for the boot ill get some up for you and maybe link a vid if i can

Thanks dobes, umm well with the boot i put in 2 more struts and just angled them to the floor of the boot, so there is always a bit of pressure pushing up so when you release the boot it just opens by itself, i think you can buy actual kits with motors and stuff for like over $200 :S but we had some old struts at home so all i had to buy was the end connectors for like 50cents each and thats all,

And thanks for the idea undar8ed1, i'll be sure to have a think about that :)

get rid of the body moulds & guard badges, with the pic of the car you notice these first then the pin-striping. if you do this it would make the pin-striping stand out more.
with the kicker in the back, pull it apart then get a piece of plywood the inner width of the boot to go against the back of the seats. then reinstall kicker to this plywood panel.
behind this panel would be a good hidey hole for amps, wires etc, make a hidden access hatch to get access to all the bits in there. behind the tailights in the boot fit another
piece left & right on a slight angle then fit speakers. once done cover the whole lot in purple suede, dont forget to do the inside of the bootlid as well.
maybe even on the inside of the bootlid fit a large fold down screen for movies or whatever. just some thoughts & ideas
