VT Front coilovers

Hi all,

I have purchased a secondhand set of coilovers. My current swaybar link has the threads straight up and down like the pic:

My new coilovers need a 90 degree bolt to make them fit and the straight bolt to go into the sway bar. My question is to 90 degree will have a ball joint and will it be strong enough, from the looks of other images i am using it upside down. I think these coilovers are from a VX series 2 and mine is a VT series 1
