VT Executive Sedan S1 Manual
Hi all,
I have a quick question, hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Vt Commodore
V6 Manual 2000

God this car keeps on costing me, but what a nice car she is.

I washed down my engine a few weeks ago as I noticed some oil underneath covering my sump half way to the back.

I noticed the oil leak tonight, around the area of my Oil filter.
The filter is on tight, I'm thinking maybe the housing gasket. mmmm

The oil seems to run under the filter and drip onto the inner side of my front R/H Rail

I'm only guessing the Oil housing, if any suggestion would be appreciated.

I understand HOLDEN, supply free of charge.
A guaranteed oil leak, at some stage.
I think I received the constant problem accessory kit thou. Ha Ha

Cheers guys.

Check the Rocker covers, and also check the power steering pump and hose that attaches to the pump. Check the colour of the oil, is it red or brown/black ? Front is quite rare, rear is more common. Sump Gasket is a possibility. What grade oil are u using ? See if Pennzoil High Mileage, Valvoline Maxlife or Shell Helix Plus 15w50 High Mileage to slow it down.

hey mate

wash around the oil filter area and the oil pressure switch ( just next 2 the filter on the front of the motor ) and then check it again and see if its leaking from the switch, had a few of them come in recently only thing i can suggest besides what vxcalais01 has stated.

let us no when you find the problem!
