So, i'm turning a corner, accelerator is unresponsive, revs drop out, warning lights flash, car rolls to a stop... Give it 15 mins and it starts again, few kms down the road, same thing happens...

Hoping it could be something as simple as my old key is so flat its losing communication with car and immobiliser its kicking in... Key hasn't been able to remote lock car for about a 6 months...
    Any other suggestions???

i've just been experiencing the similar issues with my 5.0ltr VT I. mine was more like an engine stall, where there was a complete loss of power, and it even reset my radio when it happened over the weekend. a few things i've done which appear to have helped the situation (since the weekend anyway)

    - clean and tighten battery terminals
    - reset ecu - disconnected battery for at least an hour
    - Changed spark plugs and leads

i'm still sceptical that the problem has fully resolved, but there certainly has been improvements wth respect to eliminating the shudder on acceleration that i was getting.
