    hey folks,

was taking the dash out of my vt today, planning to put a different one in from the smashed s pack i have, and i was 3/4 of the way through and just had to take 1 small blasck wire off which i found out to be the car alarm. Im guessing it may of been the earth?

It made a slight noise and spark, which then i relised DOHH!! forgot to disconnect the battery. So i did so and then removed the dash,..

BUT now the problem is the electronic key wont work, it wont lock, unlock or open the boot. It still starts the car no worries. All the interior lights and that still work.

is their a fuse for the electronic key ?

maybe the key came into contact with the spark from when i was disconnecting the last alarm wire? (f**k knows how??)

    any ideas ??
