Hello, just wanted to know how much is involved in putting in vt motor and box into vr statesman. I have complete vt car (only stripping out cos chassis is stuffed) and the statesman has the earlier 3800 not ecotec.

See my thread here where I put a VS ecotec into a VR. http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/vrii-v6-seized-what-other-v6-will-fit.244750/
In my opinion, it was easier to used the VR engine wiring and modify it to suit.
The Wagon is still going today, now being driven by my son. He says it goes better than his VT he drove previously.

Check if you can use the VT trans as I did read somewhere there was a difference with the plug if you decide to use VR wiring.
