Car has trouble starting. Sometimes it starts fine. Other times it will turn over and won’t start. I’ve had the crank angle replaced, dri plate replaced, new battery, plenty of fuel, key battery and fob replaced.

Car has a slight stutter and odd misfire.

I have been told the valley cover casket does need replacing. But nothing else seems to be wrong.

Help please…

Could be faulty sensors. Wouldn't be the first time they have sold faulty sensors and it won't be the last. Unfortunately they all come out of China now and most of them are not as good as OEM.

Getting it scanned will be a starting point. Issue might be that the DFI and CAS could share the same code, like it does on earlier models.

VR V6 Ute, VS V6 snotbox,VG Ute.
Could also be the wiring/connector to the DFI.
Try wiggling the wiring around at the harness near the connector,it may help.

I’ll give it a go!
It will also help to do the lim gaskets. That will rule out that problem for starters. May cure the mis.

Back to starting, does it take 20 - 30 seconds to start when cold (first thing of a morning). Then go for a drive somewhere. Then when restarting the car starts straight away? If this is a symptom, it could be fuel pump?
Or is it still difficult to start?
