Hey guys, i just smelt petrol coming from my car....very werid. Checked inside the engine, and looked at every cable, found out one was leaking petrol!!! Here is the thing that is leaking, how would i stop it? Would i need a new hose? or a new clamp? Ive posted up some pics because no one would have any idea what im talking about!! :bang: But it is clearly leaking, even if a little bit, it will all add up and leave me going alot less KM's. Ill chuck up the pics and hopefully someone can help me out before i end up resulting in taking it to a mechanic!! Just got her R/W and Reg'd! To!!! So much $$$!!! aw man its leaking Checked with paper, just incase! Please someone help me out with a solution. Thanks alot guys!
Have a look at the hose if its split near the clamp I'd replace the hose, petrol isnt something worth bodging up or the car might go up. Sometimes the clamps get a little loose so try and push the hose onto the pipe abit more then give a good tighten then test it. I wouldnt think it wouldnt be to pricey to replace the hose
That is the fuel supply hose and it has special hose clamps that can't be adjusted and therefore you have to by the hose and fuel rail. Not cheap. Mine had a slight drip from there as well.I fixed it by turning the hose on the pipe just a fraction. Try it by holding the metal part of the pipe with multigrips and turning the rubber hose with pliers or multigrips. It's not a sure fix but it worked for me. If that doesn't work try replacing the clamp with a quality adjustable hose clamp.
