VT Radio Issue

Hey all, I have an issue with a stearo from a 1999 Vt. when the car is turn off the stearo continues to take power from the battery, so when I go to turn the car on the battery is dead. does anybody know how to fix this?

How do you know the battery drain is from the radio?
Are you just guessing?

I changed the radio and now it seems to be fixed, just want to fix the other one so it's not useless.
