Hi Guys i know this has been a thread thats been done to death, same problem as most cars with this symptom, runs real rough at idle, sometime at the traffic lights i need to put it neutral so it doesn't shake around so much. As soon as i give it a little more throttle it runs beautiful.
This is what i have done over the last 6 months or so;

-new leads
-new plugs
-cleaned MAF sensor
-new air filter
-from a friends car swapped -coil pack
-crank angle sensor
-had on hoist looking for broken engine mount, didn't think that would be it but someone suggested it

any help would be gratefully appreciated, thanks.

I dont see 'cleaned IAC'.. might wanna try that.

Also try disconnecting the battery leads for an hour so it resets, might help.
Even if it doesnt, its good to clear the old error codes, if you get a diagnostic tool on it after the reset and find a code, then you might find the problem.

Definitely get the error codes read with a scantool etc to see if theres any problems with the engine management systems. You can even check for any logged error codes yourslef on V6 and 5.0 litre V8 VT models. Have a read through the PDF file located in the link below if you dont know how to do this, its very simple to do, and doesnt cost you a cent. Theres also some pics showing how to do this test in the VS error code link below, the VS uses the same process as VT models for code checking.

The check engine light on the dash should come on and then go off again when the ignition key is turned to start. This is a test to show that the light is in fact working, the brake fail lights etc all should do the same when the vehicle is first started..
If the check engine light is not coming on when you start the car or bridge the two terminals on the diag connector, then the bulb might be blown, and it will need replacing if it is blown, before you can go any further. Replacing the dash warning and illuminaltion bulbs isnt hard, and not sure about VT models , but with VS etc, it just involves removing a couple screws and clips etc and removing the cluster.

Check your iac - idle control valve next to your throttle body, can be old and crap or be completely wound out
It looks like this.
