Yes you will probably find that the brake fluid level is below the float and every time you hit the brakes the fluid moves forward and activates the light. Is doing what it is supposed to do. Check your brake pads may be well down and if not, you may have a fluid leak or you havent flushed out your brake fluid as you are supposed to do every 2yrs as your service schedule states!!!

i dont think the handbrake light will come on if the fluid is low. It will be a seperate light.
