VT S/C to tow VP wagon?

Hey guys, I am planning on buying a 2000 VT super six (manual, only 135000 on the clock) but was curious if it would be any good to tow my VP wagon to shows (it's becoming a dedicated sound-off car). The wagon will weigh around 2 ton when finished.
Any input is appreciated

You would need to check you vehicles tow rating. May find it cant tow that much weight.

VT has a braked towing capacity of 2100kg. So if the car is going to be 2000kg, unless you have a trailer that is under 100kg, then the answer is no.

Safe to say there isn't a car trailer that weights under 100kg, so it seems you may be in a pickle.

Unless you'd like to lose the trailer and car, i wouldn't tow with it. Even if "everyone does it"

I'm not everyone though. The VT has a Max towing capacity for a reason. Anything over that weight is just asking for trouble

Towed my VY with a 2 weel drive hilux a few times fine on the flat but no good for trying to stop it down hills.

Late but in NSW you cannot tow anything with gross weight (trailer and load combined) heavier than towing vehicle so 2100kg would be way over.
