VT sedan squeaky door trims and frames

Hi guys!

For months my 1998 VT sedan's door trims have been squeaking and making a rubbing sound whilst the window is all the way up, and I am getting to the point where I just can't stand it! Done some light research and people say it's the felt around the door frames that make noise. have also found out there is a bolt on the side of the frame where I can adjust the window which may help reduce the noise. I want to know what do I have to do to adjust the window, and anyone else who has experienced this problem, what have they done to fix the problem?

lower window about 3cm look down between glass and outer door skin about the centre of the window
you will see a horizontal metal strip that will look alittle rusty,
get some grease on the end of a ruler or similar shaped tool and lube this strip

Give it a spray with silicon spray.......It's an old car and needs a little TLC.

When did you last pop the bonnet? Oil, coolant and brake fluid levels, and of course, what are the tyre pressures?

I purchased a product from Germany called Gumme Flauge - rubber stick
It is brilliant cost about $12 including postage. There isn't a murmur from the rubbers

also remember the series 1 vt had some some fitment issue with squeaks and movement so that also maybe adding to the noise
