Hi I don't know much about cars I was on my way to work today when my car had a sudden loss of acceleration and almost felt like it didn't want to change gears at times.the car sounded fine but the drive train light did come on.I pulled over turned the car off and back on the drive train light was gone drove fine for five minutes then did the same thing.any ideas what it could be?I checked trans fluid was all ok.about to check battery terminals when I go on lunch break.but could it be something else??thanks Stuart.

Maybe something a little simpleir for now??I had a crank angle sensor problem a while back took the car to holdens they put it on their computer and told me it was fine.the next day I was driving along the car died on me replaced the sensor never had a prob since.point is I don't wanna pay them to hook it up to a computer to tell me its fine.

It's the only way to find out what caused the light to come on. There is a multitude of things that can trigger the light, no point in trying to guess what it is.
It's really not that hard to read the codes if you follow the instructions in the link I gave you. The only other way is with a compatible scan tool.
