hay just wondering if anybody else with a vt ss s2 6spd
gets clunking noises coming from the driveline when you either put the clutch it to fast or let it out a bit to fast at lowish rpm ?
had a few mechanics go over my driveline, everything is apparently all good
just when the car gets a bit of a jolt up itel clunk a bit ?
anybody else found this to ?

VX SS S1
I used to have this problem with my VX SS S1. Took the car to a diff specialist and was told that the diff would need to be re-built ($1400). Took the car to another place and after inspecting the diff and driveline, only a minor part had to be replaced for $130 (looks like a horseshoe and is made of solid rubber). Apparently over time, this part perishes and can no longer stand the brunt of the backlash (This is what I was told).

go to a transmission specialist and get them to tighten the diff preload /backlash up as that clunking noise that you get when you let the clutch out to fast is the excess movement between the crown and the pinion taking up simple fix ~150-250 around about. you dont need a new diff just neest a bit of tightening p the movement :D

it will be the bracket/bush on the rear of the diff that connects to the chassis they also break the rubber
