Hey guys,

i have currently over the last few days been calling all around australia trying to find an induction the same or similar to the one in the attachment.

the product in the attachment is on websites for sale but when i call them they say they dont sell them anymore and send me on a wild goose chase, some help would be greatly appreciated as i am really wanting this induction kit or similar.

if someone could point me in the right direction or even know someone who would have one willing to sell wopuld be fantastic.

cheers, Chris

Get the Monaro cold air intake. Works pretty good on the 5 litres.

yeah i have rang SS inductions and basically the kept saying they on;y make them for VT 5.7 and the VN - VQ 5.0 big mouth intake wont work.

as for the monaro cold air intake i havent really looked into it how much different is it and how hard to install?

I might be thinking the wrong actually. I remember installing one with dad but wasn't sure if he had the 5 litre at the time or the series 2 ls1. I would personally go a Mace airbox over the ss reductions.

SS inductions did make a VT 5.0l but its no longer in production. I've seen a few around on ebay and gumtree, but nobody is willing to ship them.

Ram air intakes are silly, started by Civic blokes i think.

The idea is to have air smashed into the filter, and 'rammed' into the throttlebody. Pointless when piping has X amounts of bends in it. Even with a straight bit of pipe, you need to be going 170+kmph for it to take any effect.

As Kiddo said. ^^
With the one pictured above, you are only forcing air into the air box, not the manifold.
To force (ram) air into the manifold you would have to by pass the air box and go OTR straight to the manifold.
Difficult on the 5.0 litre but not impossible.
