I put extracters high flow cat and twin 2.5" cat back on my ss(5.7) and now has CEL coming up, got it checked out with tech 2 both o2 sensors throwing up codes, have been told that people with fords that have the same problem space out the sensors and it fixes the problem, any 1 heard or know of this working for commodores. just after a fix till I get cai and cam.. thanks

Don't do that, it's a trick used on newer cars to fool the rear (post-cat) O2 sensors that are only there to monitor cat efficiency. The pre-cat O2s need to be working properly. Unfortunately it's common for them to die after fitting extractors cause the coating and oil etc inside them burns off and kills the sensor. You'll need new ones, they can be had for around $100/pair on fleabay.

When it comes to O2 sensors you want good quality.

for anyone browsing to get around this issue when fitting at home, just bolt up your extractors and run your car straight out the pipes in an open shed etc.. for 30 min or so without the 02 sensors you will get a code to clear but will save two perfectly good 02 sensors.

obviously if your neighbors are winney f#cks don`t do it

Or just run it with everthing bolted up without the O2 sensors fitted. Will still be a bit noisy but not as bad as straight out of the headers.

But as above, but leave the old sensors for about a week, gives it a chance to burn everything out.
