vt ss oil pump (oil light come on)

    ok my VT SS has the oil light come on and the engine has a little knock when I start it but if I give it a quick rev it goes away would it be the oil pump I got no idea

    Are you sure it's got plenty of L10 in it.
    Could be....or a partially blocked gallery, or the pickup in the pump is blocked.

    The relief valve in the oil pump could also be sticking. Have you had any work done on your car recently? Sometimes cam lube can cause a relief valve to stick if the oil hasn't been changed after the cam is run in. I won't comment on the L10 remark (damn I just did !!!).

    not that I no it has not had any work done to it I only got the car 6 months ago but thanks for the advice and wat is L10

    OIL backwards.
    It might be worth getting the oil pressure tested, the oil pump might be wearing out.
