Picked this up cheap yesterday.

5lt auto VT SS. It's mechanically good and drives excellent, but bit rough otherwise.

Expect questions about fixing **** on it :blah blah:

Lots of little things need fixing.

Quick list off the top of my head:

Bonnet has been pressure packed by the looks of it.
One power window switch works when it wants to, one doesn't work at all.
Cigarette lighter doesn't work.
Steering wheel is worn.
Drivers seat is pretty rooted, as well as the usual side covers being broken.
Boot lock missing, along with both struts.
Looks like it's had a different wing on it at some stage, boot lid is marked.
Been keyed, plus various little dings etc.
One fog light is cracked.
Middle seat belt in the back doesn't retract...Plus some other things.

Not major stuff, just a lot of little things.

And I just bought some glue to stick the rear view mirror back on.

But as I said it drives great, was cheap, 17's with near new tyres, and has 10 months rego to boot.

Needs an exhaust though, it's way too quiet for my liking. Plans are to just fix what's wrong with it. I've got my panno to throw money at :)

Re-glued the inside mirror back on. Those mirror glue things are definitely worth the 8 bucks at Supercrap. Chucked a dashmat in it cause the reflection on the windscreen when facing into the sun was ridiculous.
Had a go at fixing the passenger side front door lock button, but it seems like the rod that goes to the button is too short, like someone has snapped an inch off it. Trip to the wreckers is in order I think.

And as a bonus, the key died while I was playing with the door lock. $100 and a new key later...Lucky there was somewhere open on a public holiday. Oh well, the buttons on the old key were ####ed anyway.

Anyone got an idea what's a decent price for a drivers seat?

Hey mate, before you go buying a new seat, it might pay to look into having your current one rebolstered. I just got my WH stato drivers seat done yesterday (the whole base, as it had sagged and the side bolsters were stuffed) for $120 bucks and it feels like new again. Definitely worth a thought IMO, good luck with the car :)
