Vt steering wheel problem.

when you take the key out the keyhole pops out a bit so then you can lock the wheel. but my keyhole stopped coming out today and i cant lock the wheel. i tried giving the steering column a little love tap and it worked, but only once. any ideas on how to fix this???

You mean you cant turn on the car? Key wont turn cause its locked?

A little WD40 or graphite grease down the keyhole then put your key in and turn it back and forwards a few times, it should fit it up

Pull the barrel out and stretch the spring on the end of it.

Just remove the trim around the steering column and on top the the barrel should be a small hole. Poke something into the hole while turning the key to ON and pull the barrel out. You will see the spring on the end of it.

Dont stretch it too much just bit by bit and put it back in and test it. Clean all the gunk out while its out as well.
