VT supercharged into a VY

Just asking for a mate who gets a few commodores and wrecks.
Curious to know if the L67 is a straight drop into the VY, and switch ECUs. Or do you need whole wiring loom and change everything over from the VT?

AFAIK you will need to move ecu and whole wiring loom from the vt to the vy.

Is the loom the same for both models straight plug and swap?

No you will need a vy loom. You can use your stock NA loom and just extend some wires as needed as it uses the same sensors they are just in a different location.
Then get the supercharged tune burnt to your computer, or get a supercharged comp with your cars info burnt to it or get the new comp linked to your bcm.

Not true, he can us his current loom and ecu they both need easy mods tho.

I kniw this as i did it in my car. I have a vy manual which i put the supercharged motor into. Used ,y loom and ecu.

Yep you have remove the tape from the loom and pull the plugs back tom there new locatio. I needed to cut and join about 6 to 7 cables. Each car will be differet depending on how the wires where placed in the loom when it was made. Half of mine just had to be cut ad untwisted from other wires in the loom
