So, I had a bit of a pulley squeak and removed the charger belt to spin the pulleys and see which one was the culprit.
In the process I gave a turn on the snout pulley and it moved left to right about 10mm and seemed to catch internally. It felt like it was turning on the shaft? lt seems a little strange.
I would think I shouldn't be able to move it at all. or that I would feel the scroll moving internally?
Anyone else noted this or willing to remove the belt and see if theirs does the same?

Assuming I do have an issue.... it would be a good opportunity to upgrade to a new snout and larger pulley. I have noted a few different kits out there. Is their one that the pulley size is easily interchanged without puller tool?

    Cheers

I would say a bearing has collapsed in you supercharger snout so things are binding up and causing your belt to slip and causing the noise you can hear. I think Yella Terra does a snout replacement kit where you can just bolt on different size pulleys.
