VT "Surging"

i hope somebody knows whats going on here, because i dont!!
today i went to the shops, come out, started the car and went to drive, it started fine, reversed fine, but when i put it in drive and went to take off, it started lurching od surging as ir it was running out of fuel, but that cant be the prob coz it was over half a tank,any was it jolted around and then shut itself off, i put it in nuetral and it started up again no probs.
but, when i put my foot down from take off, then take my foot completely off the accelorator, 5 times out of ten, it stalls!!!:ranting:
also when im cruising at 80 kmh it feels like its surging, but not bad, and when i put my foot down, it seems to have no balls!
so preety much the symptoms are: loss of power
surging
increased fuel consumption.
could it be fuel pump? spark leads?

Perhaps try the VT section...

could be the o2 sensors.Get them checked out

and possibly plugs and leads and o2 sensor.

i had a very similar problem when i had my Vp although it was manual
It would surge when coasting to a set of lights or pushing the clutch in after abit of trial and error it ended up being the fuel regulator and a dead o2 sensor got a new regulator and new 02 sensor and she was fine again so check those things out but the old vp was doing the exact same thing surging and stalling

I hav same problem but mines still drivable.. Im booking in it to a mechanic in the next couple of days..

possible problems are spark plugs, leads, coil pack.. or injectors, o2 sensors..

plz tell us how u go with it..
