I believe from memory they are a different depth...
Hence different filter and gasket????
To be honest though i have never held the two up side by side and compared them~!

ok thanx..
Someone threw a metal pole out there window when i was driving on the hiway and the metal pole bounced under my car and hit my transmission sump and periced it.
I have heaps of VS transmission sumps laying around home and if they were the same i was goin to put the VS transmission sump in instead of buyin a new one.

you may be able to fit the VS sump if a VS filter fits and the bolt holes are in the same place however you'd reduce the service interval back to that of a VS. You may also need to look at the dip stick incase it is too long for the VS sump?
