So took my car to the trans place this morning and he suggest that the car is running rough as well as the trans changing a little erratically. He has suggested it has to do with the air flow meter.......tells me it needs to be changed, how hard is that to do is it something I can do. Do most of the work on my car myself.

Cheers, Daz.

vt v6, mods(susp brakesetc...)
very simple to do
its at your air box and has a clamp either side
and one connector on it
undo clamps
undo connector
take airbox out
remove afm from intake pipe
replace with new (there is an arrow saying which way around it should be OR if second hand and cant see arrow fit it same as your old one)
reverse as above and your away
if the engine light is on because of this afm fault then you might need to clear codes its in these foroumns on how to clear them yourself
~!

vs commodore
Its more likely to be a faulty TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), as the auto transmission uses this sensor to help regulate the shifts etc.Ive read a lot of times on here how a faulty TPS has caused erratic behaviour with the auto transmission.
