Hi everybody,
As i said wires don't like me, or my car for that matter.
I have recently (extend that as far as months) began a conversion process on my VH 202, by putting a VT V6 into my car, i have used a pre made adapation loom from V6 Conversion Specialists that i got shipped down to vic, otherwise i may have taken my car into them to look at.
At this point in time i currently have power to everything that i know of except the injectors, they have no pulse. The injector control coming out of the computer has 12 volts, all plugs, leads and coils are brand new, the auto is in park, and it's not an earthing problem unless you can over earth it, as we earthed the hell out of it tonight. There is fuel going to the rail, and it does crank over but doesn't fire due to injectors not pulsing, sprayed "start ya bastard" down the throttle body and it fired (Ya for me, i loved that sound, first time i heard this motor fire...)
If anyone has any ideas, or knows of where i can find specific wiring diagrams on conversions would be much appreciated.

i'm unsure, i got a conversion kit from v6 conversion specialists, which came with a BCM simulator, but i bought the VT motor seperately... memcal, security, off??? wouldn't have any idea about that one. But i bought the adaption loom and BCM as a kit which wires up to the factory VT loom to the VH body including changing the speedo to elec.

neither have i hence the dramas. but the only thing really to wire up on it is a 12 volt ignition and earth and the rest is for all the gauges. the loom also comes with a data link will this be any help with this kind of a problem, or will it just punch out a whole heap of different codes?

Have you got the fuel line and return line on the right ends of the rail, I had the same problem. I had the lines reversed. Once I swapped them it all fired up.

Hi Guys

Seem like you guys might be able to help me.

I am busy building a VT V6 with an automatic transmission into a Freelander 1. I have fitted the complete Powertrain harness and I think that all my connections are correct. My problem is that it starts but only idle for 2 to 3 seconds and stops.
Can anybody please help me with this problem?

Have you disabled the security in the memcal? If you just plugged in a stock computer with no changes it will never start......
