This may sound silly, but it might have something to do with the ignition circuit. What I mean by that is the ignition switch itself. I've had problems in the past with a VT were the barrel and switch were totally dodgy, it wouldn't start, wouldn't keep running, and if I knocked the key it could kill the engine. might be a possibility here

did you replace the computer (ECM) when you replaced the engine? If you just replaced the block and heads without any of the brains it will still want to run as lean as it did before.

Got myself a VX II S pak last weekend.
The car drives really well and looks great.
    Except for 1 problem.
While driving at a steady speed when I put my foot down for it to kick down a gear or two (It's an auto) it's like it has a bit of a shudder,I can't tell if it's the auto or the engine that's having the problem though.

    VX Clubsport
Hi guys.. I'm new to the forums so hope this post is in the right spot.. I have a 02 VX II Clubsport in 6sp, only mods done are cat-back exhaust and k&n filter, other than that it is stock..
Just having this problem when I do a burnout (on private property) my car seems do a stand still fine in 1st and 2nd, but once I let off the brake and full throttle it, when moving forward a few metres or so with the burnout and revving it reasonably high the car just bogs down as if I just completely let off the throttle even though I had my foot flat the whole time.. It seems as though it is going to stall and there is no power at all for about 1 second then it either comes back to life again and drives normal or just runs a bit rough for the next 100m or so. The car actually turned off on me once and I had to start it back up again. I can spin the wheels as much as I want in the wet and it never does this. Its strange because even if I flatten the car revving out the gears in a straight line with no spin it goes just perfect. This is really annoying because I cant do a decent skid, it does this every time.
My fuel gauge is also not reading correctly so I gather that it may be my fuel pump that is the problem or possibly maf meter? I'm no expert though so just thought id put it out there as one of you might know what the problem is.

    Cheers
    David

    anyways
    MY PROBLEMS
looked over the car when i went to buy it and noticed a slight film in water bottle, being new to the gen 3 asked the salesman to explain. his answer with the new gen 3 they run them with conditioning pills in the water to help the radiators and oil components in radiator. seemed feazable...
    NOPE WRONG
    air conditioner wasnt working..
their answer Just the switch not ligting up
    NOPE WRONG
and the list goes on yeah yeah i know i shouldnt have bought it but hey id always wanted one and seeing how id had a car accident and got a ltitle pay out i decided to buy my clubby, and Lo and Behold i Trusted the Salesman... WRONG again.

Anyways to pic your brains. when i go to open the car with the key, only the left hand front indicator and rear left light work. YET if i open the boot with the key all lights flash. NO ALARM THOUGH.
hasnt had one since i bought it.
i was told BCM bought that No diff
since ive had this car ive replaced in 12 months. the diff cvs starter motor alternator front seal radiator BCM pulleys belts condensor x2 compressor exhaust map sensor oil sensor oxygen sensors relays and fuses

still dont have the alarm or light things worked out
after asking holden they told me that i couldnt put an aftermarket one in as my clubby already had 2 systems come stock with the car..
Any help you guys with this ... today i picked the car up from AWN s warranty people and have 2 cracked side skirts GREAT new ones sell for $620 each sob sob any help would be greatly appreciated

  15. I took a look in the faults section for our VX Accliam and can't see this, how hard is it to remove the front left side inner door trim like are they screwed on our just cliped. Ours had a slight rattle once in a while when we purchaed it 16 months ago and now it has the rattle all the time. I'd say something has come loss inside but I need to know if we can insoect ourselves or is special tool required. I'm the main driver and hubby would rest his leg against the inner trim which stops the noise but now that he works 14 days on at a time theres no one to hold pressure against it and I want it fixed.

hey leo, to take off the inner door trim all you need is a phillips head screw-driver, and a very small flat head screw driver...
use the small flat head screw driver to pry out the little cap you would be able to see on the inner door handle (its a little circle cap, there is a screw behind it),
the inner door handle can then be taken off and from memory there is another screw behind that.

then use the same screw driver to pry the small cap from the door lock (it should be a little red kidney shape cap when the door lock is popped up).
the door lock can then be lifted of and there is another screw behind that.

then there is about 8 or so screws around the outside of the door trim just undo those and the door trim should come free, you will have to pull the bottom out a bit then lift the door trim up, you should be able to see how it is held on...
you will also have to unplug the light in the door.

putting the door trim back on can be a little tricky getting it to sit in properly, and same with putting the inner door handle back on getting the metal rod back on but its a patience thing

    hope that helps

I new to this commodore too, first time i have bought a commodore VTII wagon it was in pretty bad shape . got it cheap.Under $3000 But! it rides worst than my last car. Anyway has a lot of faults , but i haven't got a lot money to fix them. So feels like driving an overpowered horse drawn carriage.

I'm stuck on replacing my wheel bearings , need a tool to remove them. anyone know how or can give me a link to a thread about this?

    Thank you

by using a trusty bent flat blade screw driver after removing the pin on the left side of your trapdoor there is a latchtoward the rear of the bin on the rhs press this in and the whole door assy comes out... if you have a series 1 type(black trigger type) i suggest you replace it with a series 2 type (white trigger type) less problems you dont have to remove any screws to replace the door 2nd hand these sould be $10-$15 or less

the volume switches are a pair and require the air bag to be removed to change them over(no biggie)disconnect your battery before removing airbag(she can go bang) undo the two torque screws either side unplug from clockspring and refit in reverse as for your stereo try a s/h one
