Hi i am considering buying a V6 vt or vx commodre. I heard that vt's are terrible on fuel and vx's are better is this true. I would like to know how much kms u can get on a tank on either model on petrol and gas. No bull only guenuine figures please. I am currently getting 356km on a full tank of petrol with my vr with pacemaker extractors, irs and a 2/5 inch chrome pipe from cat back.

Were talking petrol here,VT/VX having the same 3.8lt ECOTEC Motor, should deliver identical economy, about 500-600 on average depending on your right foot and driving conditions.

Yeah. I get about 500k's to a full tank. Thats being moderate on the lead foot and city style driving.

Although I haven't gone much outta the city with my VX (ie long distance highway travel), I suspect the fuel economy will be significantly better than in city conditions.

My average consumption is about 12.5lt per 100k.

You'll find that the VX motor has 5 kw more power and is supposed to be more efficient and smoother. I have a VX and VT. The power difference is noticable. No too sure about economy though
