hey, I've just bought a pair of ultra low king springs for the rear and super lows for the front of my 2000 VT, could you post some photos if you've got these springs so i can see what it will look like?

also, i know i need to get new shocks and a camber kit, i was thinking of getting monroe gt gas shocks would that be the way to go?

and could i install all of this (springs, shocks and camber kit) by myself, if so what tools would i need?

    cheers

Don't bother with Monroe, get yourself a set of KYB shortened shocks, the ride, quality, and especially longevity of the shock is a lot better for there slightly higher price.

What size wheels do you have? If you have 20's you will most likely need to roll the guards.. You will need to get a wheel alignment after your done as well..

I 2nd the KYB shocks. My daughter has Monroes in her VT Clubby, and KYB in her VZ Clubby, and the VZ rides heaps better.
Both shortened shocks with King springs. and 20" wheels on both.

are you sure they are SSSL's?

with SSL's i was tuckin 20's... i could only assume with SSSL's a fair chunk of 20 would have been firmly placed in the guard

All of the ones in the pictures posted above look way to high, My brother VT for example was tucking about an inch of rim with 20's with SSL's All the ones posted are barely tucking tire!

iv got king ultra lows in the front and jamex 90mm lowering in the rear which is just captive with the KYB s/shocks. Jamex's are heaps better in the rear as they dont wollow like the Kings do.

Well its a bit confusing with our cars. Kings are based on the std ride height of the basic commodore. if the has the code SL (KHRL-46SL) thats = Ultra Low 50mm lowering for the SS and HSV and 65mm lowering for the acclaim & Calais etc. if it has the code SSL thats knowen as the Mega Lows 70mm lowering for the SS and HSV and 85mm lowering for the Acclaim etc. I haven't come accross the spring coded SSSL yet but I bet thatl be at owners risk to use that spring! But I think people claim the Mega Lows to be the SSSL's which they are in the VN-VS.
