Hi all, I recently got my ps and got a VT wagon given to me by my dad, I find that whenever I put my foot down theres almost like a split second where it doesnt do anything, I know its probably something really simple but I was just wondering why it does this, could it be traction control or something? Also there was only one owner before my dad and he was an old man who cared religiously for it, my dad also drove the car like an old man so theres not much chance it’s something mechanical. My dad also got a tune for it which could be making a difference? Sorry I dont know much about cars just kinda trying to learn, thanks any info would help

You'll find it's normal street a while. When you jam the throttle, the ecu needs to work out the best gear for the transmission, while the revs climb.

Try the power button which will hold gears longer keeping revs up.
