Here's another one I just noticed, I just plugged in my Bluetooth OBD2 and there's obviously no power to it because no lights light up on the obd2

commodore vt is not obd2 even though it uses the same plug
i am assuming you fitted your original modules otherwise we are wasting our time
ok looks like power is down to your modules
under the steering column check fuse 14 10A
under the bonnet check fuse 31 10A
if you can use a multimeter or test light, not just an eyeball
testing in place so we know if you have voltage to those points

that is strange
start relay n/o receives power from FJ fusible link, which also supplies power to ignition switch
fuse 31 feeds power to diagnostic plug, is fed from fusible link FS
fuse 11 instrument illumination is fed from park lamp relay, fuse 4, and fusible link FQ
looking at this random list i would be checking the 3 plugs in engine bay under windscreen corner at drivers side
dont have time to trace diagram right now

You end up putting all your original gear back in?

Did you pull that other ECU from a working car? Because if you got it from a wrecker it could be pretty likely the battery in the orginal FOB and the second FOB are dead which is probably going to cause issues for you. If you turn the key to ACC for like 2 hours that will bypass the security mechanism and you should be able to try start it if this is the case.

Having said that did you try to jump it at all? I've had the entire dash light up on a flat battery but not enough charge in the battery to push the solenoid out of the starter. Pretty consistent with the car cutting out while driving if the alternator died.
