VU II S ute

My girlfriend is thinking of getting a VU II S ute, anyone know any pro's and con's to having one and/or doing it up?

Pro. Nice and light and almost as unlimited mod wise as a sedan.

Con. Only good as a shopping trolley unless you actually need a ute.
If you and your girlfriend plan on having kids then a ute is not an option as far as a family car goes. (unless its a duel cab ofcourse)
