Hi I just brought a 2002 VU SS it has a pod filter and owner said the cat was deleted with a straight pipe from cat back.. is this exhaust any good??? Also if I was to get a OTR does it have to be MAF or MAFLESS what's the best option???. Does it have to be tuned MAF or MAFLESS???? I know a pod filter that's not in a box is no good and that's what's done so I want to change back to standard or OTR I'm abit of a rookie but any help would do thanks.

No cat would be illegal. Mafless is the way to go apparently.

Didn't realise you are in NZ. Less restriction so probably a benefit without a CAT.

I've never understood this. Why would you remove a device that increases fuelling accuracy?

they were talking about the maf, which is quite restrictive. for an otr id go with a vcm series 2. when switching to an otr either maf or mafless, you will still need a tune

Take it to a shop and get them to install a OTR and mafless tune it
And dont worry about the deleted cat...its doing the car a favour without it.
    Your welcome
