Vu v6 no rpm reading

hey all, my vu v6 has no rpm reading on the dash, ive done the system check of all the gauges where you cycle the mode button and all the needles move to their halfway point (so i know the cluster works) ive checked the wire from the dfi module up to the cluster connector and i got a read of around 1ohms so theres no break in the wire. ive looked through a few diff types of wiring diagrams and cant seem to find the exact one for my car. its a 2001 vu s pack, doesnt have abs (some wiring diagrams indicate the signal bridges into the abs module wire) , and ive been told from the previous owner that it had an engine swap, im pretty sure the engine in the car now may have come from a vr/vs. The car still runs fine, just kinda pissing me off that the needle sits on 0
