Hey mace have read alot of related threads and have browsed your
Products many times. Just want some advice I have a 2001
Vu v6 auto and want to start doing it up. Ive come to the conclusion
That I should get my engine breathing properly first so I'm getting
The exhaust done very soon. Should I get extractors done at the
Same time? Next I was thinking a growler CAI then in order...

25mm manifold insulator
12mm plenum spacer
69mm throttle body
High ratio roller rockers-which ones would you recommend?
Cooler thermostat

What are your thoughts on diff gears and shift kits?
Sorry I know im asking alot lol but any advice would be
Muchly appreciated

Thanks for your inquiry

In regards to your questions/statements…

Sounds like a plan :)

"The exhaust done very soon. Should I get extractors done at the same time?"
Personally I would just stick with a cat back system at the moment, which should cost around the $500 mark fitted. Don’t get me wrong extrators will help out, however valve for money I would save them as one of your last mods.

“Next I was thinking a growler CAI then in order...”
Depending on your requirements, you can go a growler, however we also have genuine MACE CAI kits to suit your car which have proven to work well.

25mm manifold insulator
12mm plenum spacer
69mm throttle body
High ratio roller rockers-which ones would you recommend? (either set will be fine depending on your requirements, budget and driving style)
Cooler thermostat

“What are your thoughts on diff gears and shift kits?”
They certainly help out with the driving experience. For arguments a set of 3.7:1 ratio diff gears will make the car more responsive along with a shift kit. If you don’t go to extreme on the shift kit then you’ll be fine :)

Not a worry more then happy to help.

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers,
Steve

So just leave them till last? Will all the mods I want work better
In conjunction with the cat back and extractors later?
Yeah I think i might just go with a mace CAI
I reckon the growler is a bit overpriced for what it is.
Will an electronic shift kit be all sweet then and should
I install it after the new diff gears?

"So just leave them till last?"
The extrators yes.

"Will all the mods I want work better In conjunction with the cat back and extractors later?"
Yes, though I would suggest getting a cat back early on

"Yeah I think i might just go with a mace CAI I reckon the growler is a bit overpriced for what it is."
This is your call. Some people like the look of the growlers and are happy to pay more, while others like the look of ours and are happy to pay less :p

"Will an electronic shift kit be all sweet then and should"
I'm a fan of these Shiftkits Australia, Performance Shift Kits and Vehicle Electronics :)

"I install it after the new diff gears?"
Before or after, little difference

Cheers,
Steve
