Possible, but unlikely I think.
If so wouldn't it do it alot more frequently, and shouldn't it come on once it hits that lean spot?

Water could have run under the intake manifold and shorted out the knock sensor, as its flat under the intake and 2 gaping holes where the knock sensors are.

Would it be repairable or do they need to be replaced?

Also where is the best place to get some knock sensors and a loom/wiring harness?

Not sure if repairable but I'm pretty sure it's a common fault and the fix is to run a Bead of silicone around the hole to deter water from entering

Came up twice today on the same drive home.

Going to just have to bite the bullet and change them out, Plan on taking off the manifold over the weekend to have a look to see what they look like.

where did you fellas get your knock sensor/looms from?

Sold my car :(
If you change any sensors or anything just be really careful and do not over tighten because the engine is made of aluminum.

Had some time to take off the intake manifold and have a look.

The first knock sensor was like a bird bath..not sure if the pics capture it but it was full of water

Highly recommend people siliconing them up upon installation of new knock sensors.

Keeps the birds from partying down there
