My VX calais is missing the warning chime, I don't get the "feed me... feed me" sound when fuel is getting low etc.
I gather it was disabled by the previous owner who didn't want to fix the airbag module.

I've removed the instrument cluster and can see there is a piezo speaker, but nothing seems removed or disabled.

I searched on the forum but all I found was people wanting to disable it and the were chastised for it.

Is there another speaker location, or could a wire be cut somewhere?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Many thanks for the info.
Have another instrument cluster, but has 350,000 K's on it, tested and its sounds are working, so should be able to diagnose the original one I think.

on my work van the chime sounds anytime a door is open with keys in ignition
a drop of superglue inside the chime took care of that
so depending on what previous owner did may not be so simple
